How the book is organized
Lessons begin in the spring and finish during winter. The book is comprised of 50 weeks of lessons with 1 unit included in each weekly lesson. Each unit includes 4 topics and 12 questions. How to use the book
Conversation groups of 5~7 people will be formed based on skill-level similarity. Groups will meet once or twice a week to discuss the specific topic questions. The topics provided for each unit will be discussed, but “off-topic” matters may be discussed as well.
How to conduct an efficient conversation group
1. The group leader is the most competent English speaker in the group and serves the role of a presider.
2. Members take turns in the conversation neither in a clockwise nor anti-clockwise rotation, but by random designation by the leader, so that everyone stays focused during the session.
3. All members are encouraged to ask follow-up questions.
4. In order for each member to enjoy the session, everyone will be given a fair number of speaking chances.
5. The leader is given maximum decision making rights and can exercise these rights when covering controversial topics.
